Forgot to Say Thank You

M, Open Door Peace community guide

Welcome

Hello. I’m M, your community guide.

I will help you move through this room one step at a time. You may read quietly, share a story, reply to another member, or leave a caring emoji.

You do not have to write anything until you feel ready.

About This Room

Sometimes an unexpected crisis changes our lives.

A stranger, neighbor, worker, passerby, or unknown helper may protect us, guide us, comfort us, or rescue us—and disappear before we have a chance to say thank you.

This room gives that unfinished gratitude somewhere to go.

You may tell your story and say:

“I never had the chance to thank you, but I have not forgotten you.”

Before You Share

Your registered nickname and avatar will appear with your story. Your real name does not need to appear publicly.

Please protect everyone’s privacy:

  • Do not share another person’s full name, address, telephone number, photograph, or private information without permission.
  • You may describe the person generally, such as “a nurse,” “a driver,” “a neighbor,” or “a stranger at the airport.”
  • Share only what feels safe and comfortable.

How to Participate

Step 1: Read the room introduction.

Step 2: Choose Share Your Story when you are ready.

Step 3: Write what happened and what you would say to the person today.

Step 4: Read your message once before posting.

Step 5: Other members may reply with supportive words or caring emojis.
